Who we are

Established over a century ago in the city that is the cradle of Chivalry, the historic Castino pastry shop in Pinerolo stands on the Piazza del Duomo. Giuseppe Castino, an excellent pastry chef, earned a great reputation in Europe for his creative flair and the quality of his products, including the "Torta Zurigo", which he created for Princess Jolanda of Savoy, a regular visitor to his workshop.

After decades of success, the pastry shop was closed. It reopened on 24 December 2014, thanks to the Cosso - Eynard family and their love for the city and its history.

Today the pastry shop, with its large, illuminated windows, velvet and antique mirrors, offers an assortment of products in which the flavours of the past blend with experimentation and innovation. The artisan workshop is run by pastry chef Davide Muro, who interprets tradition with inventiveness and curiosity, paying particular attention to quality.

Flavours, colours and a marked attention to detail: every day, leavened pastries and a rich selection of cakes, also in single portions; 20 varieties of croissants; a wide choice of mignon pastries, according to Piedmontese tradition. For aperitifs, fresh pastries and savoury panettone cakes in various flavours.
